Due to Telkom's exceptional greed, public holidays don't qualify for Callmore time - not even Christmas Day or New Year's Day. So below is a list of public holidays showing which days you will be paying through your nose to call from your Telkom landline. Of course calling before 7AM or after 7PM on the holidays falling on a weekday would would be billed at Callmore rates, but the rest of the day would still be billed at the regular, exorbitant Telkom rates. For notes and pointers please scroll to the bottom of the page. It might be handy to remember that the cell networks classify public holidays as off-peak, so if you have free minutes it could be a good time to use them.
