For those eager to get your hands on the Palm Pre but are cautious about straying from the almighty iPhone, here's some good news: According to reports, the Pre seamlessly syncs with iTunes. The one problem is that it cannot handle copy-protected songs, so if you've been amassing a legit iTunes library (i.e. downloaded from iTunes and not, you know, elsewhere), you may want to stick with Apple.

Nine out of 10 emails coming to your inbox are spam, according to security vendor Symantec.
According to the company’s MessageLabs Intelligence Report, spam had increased by 5.1 per cent since April, reaching 90.4 per cent.
This is the highest level of spam since September 2007, and is a big increase from only two months ago in March, where spam "only" made up 75.7 per cent of all emails.

Engadget Mobile found themselves in possession of a number of internal AT&T documents, and one of these mysterious documents shows a new HTC Android device, codenamed the Lancaster. Despite the dip in mobile phone sales, sales of smartphones continued to grow 12.7% for the first quarter, according to a new report from Gartner.
The report, "Dataquest Insight: Market Share For Mobile Devices," said smartphone sales surpassed 36.4 million units, which represented 13.5% of all mobile device sales for the three-month period. The report found Apple, Nokia (NYSE: NOK), and Research In Motion (NSDQ: RIMM) were the big winners for the quarter.

Acer said it would be releasing this year a smartphone that's powered by the Google-backed Android operating system.

Yahoo has offered a peek at how its search results are likely to be displayed a few months from now, as it tries to find a better alternative to the traditional "10 blue links".
