Dutch judge orders Pirate Bay to block Netherlands surfers

Dutch antipiracy group Stichting BREIN, whose website is still down from an extended denial of service attack, filed a suit against the three Pirate Bay administrators who were found guilty earlier this year of aiding copyright infringement in Sweden—despite the fact that the three claim not to own the site. A Department for Business, Innovation and Skills official has produced a generic Twitter strategy for all government departments, despite the risk of "criticism of jumping on the bandwagon" and "pointless content". Apple bans Google Voice apps from app store

Apple has shunned Google by banning the Google Voice app, as well as 3rd-party Google Voice applications, from its iPhone App Store. This, they say, is due to Google Voice features competing with those in the iPhone. Chinese worker commits suicide over missing iPhone

An employee at a factory that makes iPhones in China killed himself after a prototype went missing. Apple Inc. offered its condolences Wednesday as the company waits for the results of an investigation. The US continues to relay more spam than any other country, at 15.6 percent of all junk mail, according to a new report from security firm Sophos. Google earns nearly R131 million a day from ads

Google announced an increase in profits today, claiming to have earned £900m in the second quarter of 2009. Total revenues were over £3.3 billion - a three per cent increase over the first quarter of 2008. However, paid clicks decreased by approximately two per cent over the same time period. The Palm Pre’s ability to sync with Apple’s iTunes is no more. On Wednesday, 15 July, Apple updated iTunes and put a stop to this capability.
