MWEB uncapped ADSL has taken the local uncapped ADSL market by the proverbial storm, and while ADSL prices have been decreasing steadily the past two years, MWEB was the first ISP in South Africa to release affordable uncapped ADSL packages for 384k, 512k and 4Mbps Telkom ADSL lines. Prices were groundbreaking, coming in at a fraction of the price of a regular Internet Solutions-based uncapped ADSL account. The accounts also do not have any rolling usage windows, and P2P is allowed, although throttled to a degree depending on the time of day.
Several ISPs released their own uncapped ADSL soon after MWEB announced their uncapped offerings, including Afrihost, Nexus, @lantic, Sainet and more. For a full listing of current uncapped ADSL packages, please visit our Uncapped ADSL section.

Opting for the uncapped ADSL bundle offers a very slight saving, and unless you're on an extremely tight budget we would recommend taking a data-only ADSL package as it gives you the freedom to use any ISP and not just be forced to use MWEB.
As far as pricing goes, there are cheaper offers out there although reaction has been mixed as to the speed, especially during the daytime. As can be expected, bandwidth usage has skyrocketed since the uncapped ADSL accounts entered the market, and some ISPs are experiencing sever congestion. Our experience with MWEB has been a very positive one, with speeds consistently maxing out the line. Only occasionally can one notice some service degradation, but the price of the accounts offset the occasional slight drop in speed.
